Alice Coltrane , brilliant. One of many outstanding woman Jazz musicians.

take a look at this excerpt and listen to the music…its beautiful…

Her incorporation of Hindustani instrumentation “like drones, ragas, Tabla drum, and sitar,” together with long hypnotic free jazz passages and the unusual choice of harp, contributed a new sonic vocabulary to the form.
